The state-owned key forest areas of the Greater Khingan Mountains in Inner Mongolia are about 696 kilometers long from north to south and 384 kilometers wide from east to west. The total area of the main ecological functional areas of forestry is 106,775 square kilometers, accounting for 46 percent of the whole Greater Khingan Mountains. Among them, the forest area is 8.37 million hectares, which is the largest centralized contiguous state-owned forest area in China. The forest storage capacity is 940.8 million cubic meters. Of the forest area, natural forest area of 8.15 million hectares, artificial forest area of 220,000 hectares, including natural forest area of 8.15 million hectares, artificial forest area of 220,000 hectares. Forest stock, natural forest stock 915.55 million cubic meters, artificial forest stock 25.25 million cubic meters. At present, 70 percent of the forests listed as state key and general public welfare forests are fully closed for protection and restricted development. According to relevant regulations of the state, this project includes the purchase, installation, debugging and operation of handheld patrol terminal, handheld intelligent terminal (with short message function), vehicle mounted terminal (with short message function), emergency command terminal (with short message function), and patrol terminal for grassroots front-line forest management and protection and professional fire prevention team members. Projects involving Beidou application should be connected with the Beidou Forestry Comprehensive Application Service platform, and the data and service platform should be shared and exchanged. The purchased Beidou terminals shall meet relevant requirements and be connected to the service platform.
