Police Digital Trunking (PDT) standard is a trunking communication standard with independent intellectual property rights of China. Focusing on the development direction of digital intercom technology in the future, it can meet the needs of most users in trunking communication industry. PDT standard takes full account of China's national conditions, and makes reference to and innovative design of international mature standard technologies (such as Tetra, P25, DMR, MPT1327, etc.). Following the five principles of high cost performance, security and confidentiality, regional system, scalability and backward compatibility, it effectively solves the problem of integrated communication of various emergency communication networks [1].

PDT standard is led by the Ministry of Public Security of China, with Hainengda as the leader of the general group and jointly developed by other domestic manufacturers. PDT supports both regular mode and cluster mode, and has perfect interface specification for interconnection between systems.

PDT alliance members are Hytera, Uneng, Sichuan Vide, Guangzhou Vide, Vinger Communications, Tenritong, NTC and Xunan Network systems, etc.

The PDT standard uses TDMA(dual slot) multiple access mode, 12.5KHz channel interval, 4FSK modulation mode, data transmission rate of 9.6Kb/s. In addition to satisfying basic services, it also adds innovative functions such as simultaneous broadcasting and dynamic frequency resource management. The second phase of the PDT standard will focus on improving data transmission rates and the application of broadband services.

Based on the public security market in China, PDT standard takes into account the needs of users at different levels in counties, cities, provinces and countries as well as the actual construction needs of the network.
